I'm in the market for a laptop to play the newest and best games on.
What is the best video card available for a laptop?
Basically, I want a laptop that is amazing for gaming, meaning: it either comes with or can be upgraded to the best video card available, 4GB of Ram, and a 17inch screen, among other things (any other suggestions about what other factors I should consider?)
I can spend whatever, but I prefer to keep it around 2000-2500. Any suggestions?
Please no super long form answers that you've obviously copy/pasted to answer computer questions in general but aren't at all tailored to answer this specific question. Those really bug me -why even bother?|||I would suggest the new HP HDX 18t series.
It has an awesome 1080p screen with 1gb video card. Optional 4GB DDR3 RAM and upgradeable (separate) up to 8GB of RAM! Not to mention the possibilities of the best processor of Intel core to Quad. Four cores at 2.53GHz (they have a typo on the website). But I am getting this computer because it is phenomenal. And careful because the processor is an extra $1075 for the top of the line. but all the others are good too. And I don't know if your are concerned about space, but this laptop offers 640GB at 7200RPM or 1TB at5400RPM. like I said, phenomenal.|||Start by looking at the Toshiba Qosmio X305 with it's three GPUs (one NVidia 9400 for regular use, dual 9800gt cards in SLI for gaming). It starts at about $1500. Then, just decide what extras you want.

I wouldn't recommend notebooks for mainstream gaming though.|||Alienware can kick *** but on the way, they will also kick your wallet !
The basic configurations are , well, basic.

I found two new systems being hailed as great from (surprisingly) HP, they are called the HDX 16 and the HDX 18.
