Best video card for gaming?

whats the best video card for gaming under 400$?

one monitor , I hope to be able to kill crysis and brink.|||It's a tossup between the AMD Radeon 6970 and the Nvidia GTX 570.|||Before this question can be answered properly, several pieces of information will be needed about your existing system.

High end video cards require several criteria to be met before they can be successfully installed

1: PCI Express x16 slot available

2: High wattage power supply with appropriate 6pin power connectors

3: Enough space in the existing case to accomodate the length of the card, high end cards tend to be very long.

That being said your best bet if you meet all of the above criteria I would recommend

GeForce GTX 570

"The new GeForce GTX 570 and Radeon HD 6970 took this price segment by storm, offering unmatched performance in the $330 range. In many cases, these cards perform similarly to a pair of GeForce GTX 460 cards in SLI or Radeon HD 6850 cards in CrossFire. But they do so without the hassles associated with a multi-card rig. "|||6970 Radeon or Nvidia 570 GTX. Have the 570 myself with a Sandy Bridge i7

2x 460 GTX or 2x 6850 Radeon might perform better in certain situations, but I'm more of a single card fan
