i dont know if my pc is a pci or a pci express and btw i dont know alot of stuff about PCs|||Yes, it will work AND fit inside your system, irregardless of what others have said. It uses and you have a pci express x16 slot on your motherboard. It may not be a pci express 2.0 x16 slot, but the 2.0 is a data transfer rate improvement that even if your system isn't able to take advantage of it, is compatible with your x16 slot. One of my systems is a Dell Inspiron 530 and according to the Vostro 220 mini tower specs, is almost exactly the same size case. I once had a GTX 260 and a 550W power supply in it, and a GTS 250 and a GTX 260 are the same size cards, 1 1/2" wide, 4 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" long. I just measured one of my 260's to make sure.

It's not 14~16" long as some people would have you believe, but it is long enough that it will most likely block two of your sata ports. You may need to move your sata cables to the other two ports so the card doesn't have a problem with them. Also, measure the length to make sure you have enough room between the back of your case and the hard drive bay, remember, the card is 10.5" long. Some of them use one 6 pin pci-e power connector and some use two, it depends on who makes the card. The power requirements for the card are a minimum 450W power supply with at least one 6 pin pci-e power connector and a 24A 12V rail. If you get a card that uses two 6 pins and your psu has only one, no problem, the card will come with a 2x molex to 6 pin adapter. Basically it lets you use two of the power supplies 4 pin molex power connectors and converts them to a second 6 pin connector. The card will draw up to 75W from the pci slot itself, but because the card draws up to 150W+, each additional 6 pin connector can also deliver up to 75W each to help power the card. These 6 pin connectors plug directly into the card. Don't even think about trying to use that card with your stock power supply, it can't handle that card. You'll need something like this. Corsair 450W with a 33A 12V rail, one 6 pin pci-e power connector, 80+ energy efficiency rating, $49.99 after rebate.

Corsair makes some very good units, it's the only brand I buy. Read some of the reviews on that one. Here's a tiered power supply list that rates psu's from Best to Not recommended, you'll notice that Corsair is highly rated.

That card will easily play any of todays games with most of them on the highest settings, it's a good card.|||The GTS 250 is a performance oriented card, it is a great card and I have personally used it to play...

Fallout 3

Crysis

COD 4 and 5

Fear 2

Ghostbusters

and a slew of others

All of these played with excellent framerates at full settings however this is where the good news ends...

The GTS 250 is a double height card that rough 14-16 inchs long. Assuming you had the PCI-X slot to install it to it would still be far too large for you to install. This card also requires a 450 Watt or better PSU with 2 PCI-X 6 pin power connectors, your power supply will not meet the requirements for this card both for the connectors it requires as well as the power draw. Sorry.|||It is a low/medium end card it is okay but not great.
