What is the best video card (gaming) for a laptop?

Hi,

I'm shopping for a new laptop. I'm not an expert in computers and I was hoping you guys could help me out. I'm looking for a laptop that has a video card that works awesome with gaming. I've seen a lot of laptops but I'm just not sure which to get because they make choosing complicated. I'd appreciate any help and suggestions. Thank you!|||Laptops to begin with arent designed for gaming. They overheat, the keyboards arent designed for gaming, internet gaming sucks the big on on a wireless network due to packet loss, etc, etc. If you are into serious gaming, get a desktop. If you insist on a gaming laptop, you need something like this.

http://computershopper.com/laptops/gamin… shows top ones.

But laptop video chipsets are not designed with games in mind. The power used, the package size, the video memory either shared from main or specific for video, and the match to the display is what is important for laptops.

And the CPU is never as fast on a laptop as a desktop, with or without a top card for gaming.

You are barking up the wrong computer.|||Alienware M17x

You can personalize the laptop into gaming machine(cost you very incredible amount of money just for gaming, well m17x cost $1699 and upgraded(necessary items like CPU, Graphic card, RAM) cost more $2500)

Or....

ASUS G50vt X5

Maybe it's not the ultimate gaming machine, but it's good for your money . It cost $800-$1000, less than $1000.|||try alienware's m17x gaming laptop

this company has great customer service and great rigs.

for a laptop i would say get dual nvidia geforce gtx 280 video cards, if you want a desktop, get gtx 295's for the most powerful experience|||It all depends on how much much $$$ you have and are willing to spend, video cards range from about 20$ to 3000$ for top notch cards. I can suggest an Alienware computer to you as they usually come preloaded with pretty top notch video cards.|||all laptops with a 17" or higher screen have a good video card for gaming, i would suggest it being at least 8800 gt or 768mb video|||Gaming laptops are pretty expensive.

The Asus N51V is very good and quite cheap.|||www.dell.com
