and the GT440 is newer than the GTX460, the 4 in the front is for generation, 420, 430, 440, 450, 460 etc are different cards in the same generation, the bigger the second number, the stronger the card.

for ATi, the first number 6xxx or 5xxx is for generation, the second number as in 68xx is series, the bigger the second number, the stronger the card, but among he 68xx, there are 6850 and 6870, 6870 being the stronger, among the 67xx, there are 6750, 6770 and 6790, the 6790 is strongest among the 67xx, but 6850 is stronger than any 67xx card.|||It's between the 6790 and the 6850, depending on which has more GDDR5 memory.



Intel is NEVER a good video card for gaming.
