So I have an old Alienware from ~2006ish. The video card has pretty much burned out so I've began an epic Quest to search Newegg.com for a Video card, but the only problem is I'm a level 1 video card expert and it seems I require a level 10 video card expert. The computer slot is PCI, but which is the best card for gaming that runs the price range of ~$60-$90.
Thanks all of those out there who took the time to answer this question.|||If you have a PCI-e slot:
i dont like ATI cards but i'd recommend the ATI Radeon HD 5670 or 5770. ATI tend to be cheaper, but those are excellent bang for your buck.
If you want to go Nvidia try for the GTX 460 or GTX 550Ti. They are great choices.|||Your actual hardware info isn't really needed for this, ofc theres no need to over-do it (getting a 2GB card when you have little ram)... But given its Alienware I'll presume you had a decent set up so will just be looking for a good card.
Even with limited GFX card info you prob know how good the Ge-force range is, I'd just look at them and see which you'd need, I'd recomend the Geforce 120 on a low budget... The 8400GS on a slightly higher (but still very cheap) budget... and the GT 430 on a higher budget (its over your $90 cap, but is a stunning card for the price, and will handle any current high-end game.)|||5670 for $70 on newegg
