Is having the best video card good for gaming even when you have only a 512Ram and 2.13ghz processor?

your ram will be a bottleneck for your games or for any other program for that matter. hence, the game still won't run as smooth. invest a little less on the video card as the ddr2 rams today are cheap.|||I doubt it's possible.|||with only 512MB ram, you're not going to be doing very much heavy modern gaming. hit at least 2gig (and i do mean at the VERY least) before you worry about anything else...|||Well if you have a really good video card you still need a lot of ram because that video card IS counting on the ram and processor i would think|||not really its going to be really slow|||A strong graphics card is great. The slower cpu and lack of ram will slow your frame rates. It is a good idea to try and keep these things balanced. I'd suggest you try to add some RAM.|||Yes! Having the best is always good! Now you won't be able to use the full potential of the game because of your limited RAM size. But having the best Graphic Card would boost performance in any game you now own.

Trust me RAM is cheap. I built a Computer for my brother just over a year ago and 512 of RAM was $60. This Christmas I'm getting him 1GB for like 22. Even just get 1GB of RAM and the latest Graphic card would do you fine!
