What Video card is the best for me ?

hi i am looking for card that sutes with hardcore gaming .....here is my system Asus p5w dh mother broad crossfire ready ...2Gb ram crucial ....intel e6420 core 2 due ...and 750Watts power supply .....i have good cooling system .......i am ready to spedn about £200 ......i saw Asus 2900XT card is it any good ? as long as my motherboard supports cross fire does it work better with ATi rather tha Nvidia ...? Please tell me good card ? for this price i know nvidia 8800GTX ultra thing are the fats and best cost way too much for me so ...what are the other options i have rather than choosing those expensive Ultra cards ?|||if i would buy a new card, i would go for the "higher average" type of card, they sell for around 300 dollars, so you don't spend too much money, for a card that can play 90% of the games out there now.

I would take the 8800GTS|||Yes the ATI HD 2900XT is a high end card that will work better than a nvidia card on your motherboard. Crossfire will allow you to add a 2nd card down the road if you choose to go that route. If the HD 2900XT is a bit out of your reach look at the HD 2900PRO cards. They are a good buy as the price has dropped a bit from when they were brand new. I think newegg.com has them for around $300.|||Nvidia has just released the 8800GT which has 512MB GDDR3, has a core speed of 600Mhz and a memory speed of 1800Mhz which makes for a good bang for your buck card, they are priced low as well.. If you can go for nvidia cards, they are kicking ATIs butt at the moment|||If you have no plans of running Crossfire, get the 8800GT, best bang for the buck right now.

However, if Crossfire is on the horizon, you have no choice but the HD2900XT or wait a bit for the new HD3850 or HD3870.
