A+ Certified PC Tech|||The best card on the market is a Geforce 8800GTX so... they're expensive, they're power hungry so you'd better have yourself a 450W or greater power supply (emphasis on the greater....). If I had very deep pockets, this is the card I would get, course you'd still need to get the actual water cooler, http://www.bfgtech.com/8800GTX_768_PCIe_… or you could just get a standard one with the huge heatsink/fan combo on it.
Other than that the 7900GS or GT is very nice... but ummmm, they lack all the things that make the 8800 cool, like 96 shader units (something in that range), HDCP and DirectX 10 support. Okay so some of the 7900s do have HDCP support but the 8800GTX is just... ummmm, like faster and stuff. If I had the money... that's the card I would get. Can't be beat. It just can't.|||Thanks, there are plenty of benchmarks out there to prove those very points, even the 8800GTS is a very nice choice.

|||very good, i'd get dual x1950 crossfire editions there the best of the best with an amd processor. another thing is that you should consider getting 2 gb of ram, because in the near future you will need it. also i dont know if this is the best time to build i new computer, i would wait 6 m onths or so when there is vista with at least sp1. thats just my opinion and hope it helped.|||( VOTED FOR ME FOR THE BEST ANSWER)

( BUY ANY OF THIS VIDEO CARD IF YOU CAN AFFORD)|||If your going with an amd processor go with a crossfire setup and if your going to be running vista get another gig of ram and a couple of 160 gig raid 0 HDD's would probably give better access times|||The GeForce 8800GTX are the best out right now, but of course expensive. I could go on forever with suggestions, but I won't do it on here. If you wanna discuss parts, send me an email, its in my profile. I am building one myself in the near future so I have done a lot of research, so I might be of some help.
