Best Video Card For Games.?

So I bought the game BF2 about 2 years ago and when I bought it and installed it it didn't work. Then I found out that my video card is very sucky because its and Intel. Where do you think I could find the best video card for BF2, but isn't so expensive because I'm very short on money. Also, my computer is like 4 years old and its a Dell Dimension E310 and its still works fine for browsing and other non graphical games, but I was just wondering if the card would still work for it and how do you put the card in the computer. I don't know much about video cards, so what happens to my other video card Intel when I put the other one in? O yea I don't really want something so expensive, but I could spend up to $200 and also tell me where I would be able to buy the card at too.|||first turn off your computer and unplug everything from it. then look of see what kind of video card slot you have. this should help: http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/directron…

those are different kinds of video cards. pci-e 16x would be the best. after that pci-e 4x then AGP. since your computer is 4 years old it will most likely be AGP or PCI. if you live in America i reccomend newegg.com to purchase a card. the reviews should give you an idea of what your buying.

if for some reason you have pci-e 16x then get an nvidia 8800gt if not then you have to do some research.

once you put the new card in the bios should recognize that it doesn't have to use your integrated graphics. if not then go intothe bios when restarting the computer and change it.

honestly if you have an AGP slot you are not going to be able to run BF2 on high setting. they arn't powerful enough. you will see an improvement but it might be a waste of money.

also, the cards and slots are not interchangeable. get the right card for the right slot.|||Well, that depends on differant specs of the Video card. How big is your case? how loud do you want it to be? do you want to have to get a cooling fan (for a good one, you probably will). I would definately go to http://www.newegg.com/ to check out their cards. A little research will tell you what each of the items on the side mean. I imagine you will be spending at least $100 for one to just get by, and maybe $175 for a niec one.|||It will dpend what graphics socket you have...

If its AGP then you can get a 7600GT for agp for about £50

If its PCI-E then you can also get a 7600GT for PCI-E for around £50

Both of these cards will run BF2.

Good luck.|||Check TigerDirect for the graphics card, mostly all of them are good ;)|||If you have a Dell E310 I'm going to guess that the graphics slot is an AGP which means you will have to get an older graphics card. The best one for the AGP slot is the nVidia Geforce 7600 GT.

If you have a PCI-E slot then you're able to get the newer cards that are much better. A good card that will run BF2 smoothly is the nVidia Geforce 8600 GT. I had this card for a while and was very happy with it. I upgraded since then but I liked it.

Just for future reference, if you start to get into games a lot, like me, than you will want to save your money and build your own computer. They last much longer, they are much better performance-wise, you choose what goes in and out, you can overclock the CPU, Graphics Card, and Memory, and every part has it's own warranty instead of the whole computer having one.
