What the best gaming video card for a desktop computer for $250 or under.|||GTX 460 1gb, runs everything maxed out even Crysis, (gets 28-40 fps). gets 55-120+ fps on everything else, exept metro 2033, you wont be able to max that game out with anything under $300. just make sure your Power supply is at least 550w 28 or more amps. the box says you should have at least 450w but thats if your running like a single core and not much else. Gtx 460s can be found for 190 now. dont get the 768mb version becasue its not 256-bit encryption which helps games out alot|||I would say your looking at either a Radeon 6870 or a 6950 from ATI.
Or a Nvidia GTX 470.
The 6950 is probably closer to the 300$ price range.|||6870 Radeon
EDIT: A 6870 is more powerful than a 460 GTX easily|||For Nvidia its the gtx 460
if you want a radeon ati card its the 6870
